Sorry, I was late this week.
The 12-year-old me was happy, living in a world full of ambitions and dreams. Last week, on a bus, I found myself reading an old journal entry from over a decade ago, and it hit me like a wave. Those dark squiggles on a page from my childhood made me cry—right there on the bus. But it wasn’t just tears; it was a deep motivation to make that 12-year-old version of me proud. Now, all I want is to show him that we will have achieved everything we set out to do.
Alright, we're back at it. This week was packed. I had to set up new systems, catch up on my reading, dive back into studies, and re-establish my routine after a quick trip to Mumbai. Amidst all this, I decided I’ll head back to Akola during Diwali, probably for good, leaving Pune behind. I also started a new book, finally committed to writing, and focused on the business. With my physical health needing attention, I’m revamping my workout and diet plans. Stick around for the next issue where I'll share some tips on systems and gym routines.
Wisdom Brewed for the Mind
Here’s a gem of an article by the brilliant Oliver Burkeman. It dives deep into how to handle free will, time management, perfectionism, and productivity in a refreshingly simple way. After reading it, I found myself just sitting there, reflecting on it all for a solid 20 minutes.

Visual Feasts
I just watched this video and it hit home. Growing up on a steady diet of National Geographic, Discovery, Animal Planet, and History TV 18, I developed a deep respect for snakes. They're often misunderstood, but seeing someone like Chandler, who genuinely loves and cares for these creatures, made me appreciate him even more. I’ve been following his channel for years, but this video truly resonated with me. RIP, Kevin. You’ll be missed.

Wisdom Brewed for the Mind
I started this new book by Cal Newport, Deep Work. Being about half through the book, I stopped watching social media by a factor of 5. Like my Instagram time went down from 1.5 to 2 hours a day to 15 mins a day. This book is actually amazing. I am almost 70% through. The book teaches you what deep work actually means. Why it matters and how have people gotten to it. All of this happens in just the first half of the book. The amazing thing is that After I starteed reading this book, I changed one thing. I replaced my phone with this book.

Chapter 1125 of One Piece has thrown my earlier theory into chaos. Up until now, I believed that the Five Elders were extensions of Imu’s power, similar to how Big Mom manipulated Zeus and Hela. The logic was simple: if Saturn were just a fragment of Imu, Imu would’ve reabsorbed him instead of allowing his demise. But then Figarland Garling, a member of the Celestial Dragons’ royal family, stepped in to replace Saturn. This changes everything—it suggests that the Five Elders aren’t merely extensions of Imu but possibly high-ranking members from different royal bloodlines.
So, here’s what I’m thinking: within the Celestial Dragons, there’s a hidden hierarchy. At the top is Imu, then the Five Elders, followed by the Holy Knights, royal families, and finally, the rest of the Celestial Dragons. Only those from the royal bloodlines or the Holy Knights are eligible to become one of the Five Elders. This also hints at a demonic transformation process, possibly something beyond Devil Fruits, since we’ve seen the Elders interact with the sea without any ill effects.
What’s intriguing now is that for the first time in history, someone else—Figarland Garling—has qualified to become an Elder, likely after Saturn's catastrophic failure. There’s no doubt Imu is still linked to the Five Elders, but their roles and powers are now more mysterious than ever, opening up more questions than answers

Puzzle Pieces to Fit
Fasting is something completely foreign to me. Sitting at 120 kg, which is around 35 kg too much, I’ve never really given fasting much thought. Being agnostic, I’ve never had a religious push to fast either—no Upvaas for me.
But over the last few weeks, I’ve done my homework, diving into articles and videos on the subject. One YouTube short from “What I’ve Learned” really hit the mark. It sparked an idea in me, like, "Why not try fasting?"
So, I went ahead and did it. First attempt? 24 hours straight. And let me tell you, after the 18-hour mark, hunger was barely there. What got me though wasn’t a need for food—it was the habit, the craving that comes from years of training my body to eat at certain times. But I didn’t cave.
Fast forward to my second attempt, and I pushed it to 31 hours. This one was a bit crazier. Something shifted after hour 20; my focus hit a whole new level. It felt like I was on the Limitless pill—no distractions, just pure, unfiltered concentration. Four hours of straight studying, no breaks, and it felt natural, like I could go on forever.
Turns out, there’s some solid science behind this. After the glucose reserves in your body start to run low, the brain switches to using ketones, which are produced during fasting. And what’s even cooler? Ketones seem to fuel the brain more efficiently than glucose does. This is probably why my brain was going full throttle by hour 20, giving me that boost in focus and productivity.
As for the third time, I decided to push myself and go for 72 hours straight. No food. Only water, Americano and Diet Coke. Alas, I failed at hour 26. A little research showed that I didn't let my body rest enough between the fasts. Just like the rest needed between sets in the gym, the body goes through stress while in fasting, from which recovery is necessary. So I decided to stop on Friday and let myself rest. Now on Monday, I.e. tomorrow, I will be starting the 72 hour fast…..
Stay tuned for the next issue to see how much can I push myself.

This is a website that uses youtube videos but presents them as if from a 1990s TV. This was amazing. At times now where we can be stuck for hours before picking something to watch while eating, This kinda acts like a TV.
